Winter swimming club app in MAX
The club in every member’s pocket: schedule, history and donations in a MAX mini app, sign up for a swim in two taps and a reminder the day before. The organiser posts an event in chat, and it appears on the site at once.
Task
The “Walruses of Miass” club runs over 50 events a year, yet sign‑ups came by phone calls and social media messages. Lists were kept by hand, reminders were sent manually and the site’s schedule was updated separately.
The task was to put the club in every member’s pocket: in the national messenger MAX, with no separate app to install and sign‑up in a tap or two — and to let the organiser manage events in one place.
Solution
The club mini app
Opens from a bot button and carries the site’s style: a monthly schedule, a countdown to the next swim, club history and newcomer answers. Light and dark themes, screens from 320 px.
Sign up in two taps
Name and phone come from the MAX profile, a repeat sign‑up is one “I’m in” tap. The server blocks duplicates.
A reminder the day before
The evening before an event the bot sends the time, place and what to bring. Club news goes only to subscribers.
The organiser menu
Sign‑up lists, posting an event with a broadcast, moving a date with notice to everyone signed up, and statistics — right in the chat, from a phone.
One source of events
An event posted in chat instantly gets a page on the site, a card in the schedule and a place in the sitemap. Yearly events roll over by themselves.
Donations via SBP
People can support the club right in the app by QR code, with a public offer and the NGO’s documents.
Security and data law
The MAX signature is checked on every request, the server is in Russia, consent is a separate checkbox, data is deleted after 90 days and there is a “delete my data” command.
