A B2B catalog with category, brand and price filters, a cart and company ordering with an auto‑generated invoice. Custom WordPress theme, a move to LiteSpeed and store schema markup with geodata.
Task
A wholesale building materials supplier needed a B2B catalog site: find a product fast, build an order and get an invoice without calling a manager.
Off‑the‑shelf WooCommerce stores bring baggage: retail payments, shipping options, dozens of settings. A wholesaler needs something else: buyer company details, an invoice and a fast catalog.
Solution
Custom theme and product post type
The site runs on WordPress, but the theme was written from scratch for the job: products live in their own post type with categories and brands, with no heavy store plugins.
Catalog with filters
Buyers narrow the list by category, brand and price and sort by newest, price or name. Stock and discounts show right on the product card.
Product search
Search looks only at products: pages, policies and news stay out of the results.
Ordering with an invoice
In the cart the buyer enters the company, tax ID and contacts and chooses pickup or delivery. The invoice is generated automatically and sent by email.
Customer account
Buyers register with an email, see their orders and keep products in favourites.
Move to a new server
The site was moved to a server with Ubuntu 24.04, OpenLiteSpeed, PHP 8.4 and MySQL 8, and pages are served from the LiteSpeed cache.
SEO work
An h1 for the catalog, Store markup with address and coordinates, canonical tags, search and filter pages kept out of the index, Twitter Cards for links shared on social media.
Company details in the admin panel
Name, tax IDs, phone and address are entered once in the admin panel and used in the footer, the markup and the invoices.
